Deer Hunts at Honey Brake Lodge
Honey Brake is adjacent to the 63,000-acre Dewey Wills Wildlife Management Area (WMA) which is known for its trophy-sized Whitetail Deer and as one of the state's premier WMA's.
Big Game at HB
Big game hunting can be somewhat like real estate: location, location, location! The swampy nature of the Dewey Wills WMA and portions of the Honey Brake WRP land are prime habitats for wild hogs, and its many irrigation and drainage canals are a superhighway for travel between the two locations. Honey Brake’s bayous and reservoirs are also home to alligators and several species of fish.
All deer and alligator hunts for the upcoming season have been pre-booked. If you are interested in joining our waitlist, please fill out our contact form. Hog hunts are available as an add-on to a waterfowl hunt or in the off-season as a stand-alone option. Inquire with the lodge for availability.
Our Conservation Efforts
Of Honey Brake’s nearly 20,000 acres, almost 9,000 acres are set in a Wetlands Reserve Project (WRP) tract for the development of water control structures, making it the largest single-owned WRP project in the state. We put a deliberate effort into maximizing our WRP habitat for whitetail management.
