|Drew Keeth / General Manager
Catahoula Parish native Drew Keeth, General Manager and waterfowl guide for Honey Brake Outfitters has been an avid outdoorsman from an early age and grew up hunting the cypress brakes and flooded grain fields of our Sportsman’s Paradise of central Louisiana all his life. Drew worked in the boating industry for most of his life but also developed and managed several different hunting clubs and guide services in central Louisiana, including managing recreation and wildlife on Louisiana Delta Plantation. Drew’s passion for hunting is exceeded only by his off season obsession of preparing exceptional habitat for wintering waterfowl through moist soil management techniques that produce the most abundant food sources for ducks that are possible. Having been a waterfowl guide for over 18 years, Drew has developed the knowledge of everything duck…from flight patterns and habitat to decoys and dogs his hunting experiences have led to his professional ability as a top guide in Louisiana.
Drew’s commitment to wildlife has also been demonstrated in his leadership and support of numerous wildlife conservation organizations. Having served as President of the Cenla Fantails Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, committee member of Delta Waterfowl and Ducks Unlimited local Chapters and active member of the Central Louisiana Hunter Retriever Club, Drew understands and works to give back to the sports that he loves. Drew is also committed to our youth! His daughter Karlee is of course the light of his life but Drew has always supported efforts to encourage the development of young hunters into a life of hunting and respect of wildlife. An avid supporter of the LDWF youth hunt weekends Drew has shared his time and Honey Brake Outfitter services to help ensure that young people get a unique opportunity to experience duck hunting at its’ finest.
In Drew’s words “To be a great guide you have to have a servant’s heart, the will to please, and a passion for water fowling. Anyone can hunt for two or three days but providing the experience of a lifetime for sixty plus days straight is what makes the professional staff that we expect at Honey Brake”.
We welcome you to come and enjoy “The Honey Brake Experience”.
|Blake Soileau / Operations Manager
Hailing from Ville Platte, LA professional guide Blake Soileau brings a true Cajun flare to Honey Brake! We’re still trying to determine where to best use Blake’s talents because he’s almost a better cook than he is a guide. Therefore the term “Lagniappe” which loosely translated means "a little something extra" has true meaning and is exactly what Blake brings to our team. Having grown up hunting and assuming his father’s guide business, Blake has led guided hunting and fishing trips all over Louisiana. From the salt water marshes of Venice or the rice fields of Gueydan, LA, to the backwaters of the Mississippi River and renowned Catahoula Lake, Blake has been guiding for 20 years. Settling in Pineville, LA and owner of Louisiana Gulf Seafood, Blake following in his father’s footsteps, has nurtured his own two sons into a lifetime of hunting and fishing.

Richard is one of our youngest guides, but don't let that fool you, he's top notch! He has spent years under the tutelage of his father and his fathers friends since the age of 4 learning how to call, hunt, and outsmart the wariest of ducks. A good friend of Richards father, Honey Brake Operations Manager Blake Soileau has also been instrumental in his education as Richard is a lifelong friend of Bucky Soileau. Richard has been guiding for the last few years on the world famous Catahoula Lake where the best caller usually gets the limit and Richard gets plenty of limits! His specialty is calling in those long range birds that few dare to call to. With his eagerness to learn and passion to hunt every day of the season Richard brings a contagious enthusiasm to Honey Brake that keeps everyone on their toes!!
